    Focused on contrast therapy (hot/cold immersion), our family-owned business offers specialised ice bath and sauna experiences in a tranquil private garden. Recover faster, enhance performance, or simply restore balance in a space designed to rejuvenate body and mind—whether you visit solo or with a friend.


    We also offer group sessions combining yoga and contrast therapy, as well as dedicated Mums and Bubs sessions that provide a warm, supportive environment for all stages of motherhood.

    Breathwork & Contrast Therapy

    Guided breathwork practice designed to:

    •  Calm the nervous system.
    • Release stress.
    • Reconnect you with yourself.

    The experience is enhanced with contrast therapy — sauna and ice bath — to support deep relaxation, balance, and overall wellbeing.


     Headphones are used to create an immersive, distraction-free experience for deep relaxation and recharge. 

    Important considerations for sauna and icebath

     1. Hydration

    • Saunas cause significant fluid loss through sweat
    • Drink water before, during and after and add electrolytes if sessions are >15–20min or you sweat heavily


    2. Session Duration

    • Start with a sauna for 15-20 minutes to allow your muscles to relax
    • Please advise us if there's a temperature you would like the sauna set to, otherwise we will set the sauna to 65 degrees Celsius
    • Shower after the sauna to remove excess sweat before entering the ice bath
    • Immerse yourself in the ice bath for 3-5 minutes (if possible)
    • Please advise us if there is a temperature you would like the bath set to, otherwise we will set it to 8 degrees Celsius
    • Focus on deep steady breathing to manage the cold
    • Repeat the cycle 2-3 times depending on your comfort level and experience


    3. What to bring and do

    • Bring your own towels for the sauna and after the ice bath/outdoor shower
    • Please place a towel on the bench in the sauna before you sit
    • Please dry yourself before you re-enter the sauna from the ice bath or shower
    • The sauna has Bluetooth speakers so you can easily connect your phone whilst in the sauna and play your own tunes


    4. Cautions

    Avoid or consult a professional if you have:

    • Cardiovascular issues
    • Pregnancy
    • Low blood pressure or fainting history
    • Recent illness/fever
    • Dehydration


    Listen to your body-Don’t push yourself beyond what is comfortable. Some people find alternating hot and cold therapy invigorating, while others may find it too stressful.

    Jess enjoys running outdoors, going to the gym, and practicing yoga as she rebuilds her fitness after pregnancy. She balances motherhood, work, and self-care while running a business focused on helping others improve their well-being through heat and cold therapy. She loves the balance of infrared sauna sessions, ice baths, yoga, and recovery practices—her ideal way to unwind and recharge after busy days.


    Edward
    Edward is a dedicated endurance athlete who competes in Ironmans, marathons, and ultramarathons. Training is central to his life, alongside family and fishing. Whether it’s a 3am swim or a late-night ride, he never misses a session. Since using the infrared sauna and ice bath at Duncraig Sauna and Soak after long training days and races, he’s seen major improvements—faster recovery, less soreness, and better race times. For him, contrast therapy is a must for anyone serious about performing at their best.
